Description

This is a packet full of math and literacy activities for first grade in the fall. All activities require NO PREP and are FUN and engaging for students. They are aligned to the Common Core Standards and the standard addressed is printed at the top of each sheet.

Included in the September packet:

*Add and Color: Color the crayon according to the sum

*Addition Facts: Practice answering addition problems to 10 quickly

*Addition Word Problems: Read the word problem, write the number sentence, and answer the question

*Add With Ten Frames: Add counters to fill the ten frame and then fill in the missing number in an addition sentence with a sum of 10

*Back to School Sequencing (2): Read the stories and cut out pictures from the story to put them in order

*Blends and Digraphs: Glue the correct blend or digraph at the beginning of the word

*Blends Sorts (R-Blends and S-Blends): Sort the pictures based on their blend

*Characters and Setting: Read a back to school story and draw a picture of the characters and the setting

*Compare Length: Identify the objects that are shorter or longer than the crayon

*Comparing Numbers: Identify the largest and smallest number in a group of 3 numbers

*Counting Syllables: Fill in bubbles to show the number of syllables in a word

*Cut and Paste Rhymes: Glue the pictures in the school bus that contains a rhyming word

*Digraph Sort: Sort the pictures based on the beginning digraph sound

*Make 10: Find the number that makes the number sentence true

*Match the Time: Glue the correct digital time under the analog clock (to the hour)

*My Classroom and My Teacher: Write about your teacher and your classroom - Word boxes with helpful words included on each page

*Noun or Verb: Color the apples to identify nouns and verbs

*Fill in the Missing Numbers: Complete the 120 chart

*Punctuation and Capitalization: Circle the letters that should be capitals and add the correct punctuation to the sentences

*Roll and Write Sight Word: Roll a dice and trace the sight words

*Back to School Book: Read, illustrate, and build a back to school storybook

*Short and Long Vowels: Color the apples to identify short and long vowel words

*Short Vowel Sort: Sort the pictures based on their short vowel sound

*Silent E Words: Use the silent e rule to spell the long vowel words

*Subtraction Facts: Practice subtracting within 10 as fast as you can

*School Supply Graphing: Complete the graph to show how many school supplies are in the backpack and answer the questions about the data
