❤️ What Teachers Are Saying ❤️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "My students loved this activity and had so much fun being creative learners. Thank you!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Easy to use! We put some tape on the floor to measure how far our leaf gliders went. My 3rd graders loved this! They were very creative and eager to share their creations. Thank you!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "My students had so much fun using this resource. Easy preparations for me. I enjoyed seeing them try to get their leaves to glide and think of other ideas that they thought would work. It was very engaging for them."
✂️ What materials are needed? ✂️
You'll need paper, paper clips, and scissors! You can use the templates provided or students can create their own leaves.
⏱️ How much time does this challenge take? ⏱️
This challenge can be completed in as little as 30 minutes*, though if you have longer, students can test out multiple designs and iterations. I recommend 45 minutes for set up, testing, and clean up.
*For lower elementary students in particular, if you are short on time, I recommend providing leaves already cut out or user paper leaves from your local dollar store, since cutting can be time consuming for younger students. This will allow them to spend the majority of their time working on their designs and testing.
