Practice sums of ten with this free fall subtraction game for first grade! To play Johnny Appleseed's Subtract from Ten Sweep, your students will roll a die, subtract the number from ten, and locate the answer on the board.
This game is also great to review subtraction and sums of ten at Back to School time in second grade.
"Sweep!" is played just like a Bump game, with players "sweeping" the other player off the board instead of bumping them off.
Johnny Appleseed's Subtract From Ten Sweep is a sample from Fall Math Partner Games, a set of 30 autumn themed math games. Like this game, all of the games in the set are easy-prep, one page games requiring only dice and wipe-off markers. Each game, including this one, comes in both color and blackline formats.
One page math games are great for distance learning, too! Just create a JPEG image of the page. Then use your JPEG with your favorite apps or programs!
