Bring the fall season into your "Ways to Make 10" addition math lessons with this fun, engaging fall sunflower math craft! Perfect for practicing and reinforcing the concept of "Friends of 10" and the different ways we make 10 using ten frames, this differentiated sunflower math craft is a hands-on way to help students master making 10 while also fostering creativity.
An added bonus is that the finished sunflower math crafts make an easy, seasonal bulletin board or hallway display, too. Nothing screams fall like a field of golden sunflowers! :)

What is included?
3 math page options—the math pages will be the sunflower's petals :)
- Option 1: empty ten frames with 2 missing addends
- Option 2: filled ten frames with 2 missing addends
- Option 3: filled ten frames with 1 missing addend
Sunflower craft template options—
- Option 1 has fewer pages and only requires regular white copy paper. Students first complete the math pages, then color the sunflower pieces, cut, and glue.
- Option 2 uses color paper and has more pages (separate pages for nose, cheeks, eyes, etc.) Students complete the math pages, then cut out the various sunflower pieces, and glue the craft together.
One bulletin board title page— Use this to display the final sunflower creations and enjoy the festive fall-themed math decor all season long!
