Description

Fall Theme Math Scoot using Second Grade Standards.

This is an interactive second grade game that allows students to practice and deepen their knowledge of beginning of the year math skills. This scoot game will help keep students engaged and having fun while reviewing content.

This activity can be used whole group or as a center.

There are 15 Task Cards for students to work on. Students can work in partner pairs or in small groups of 3-4.

Second Grade B.E.S.T. Standards: AR.1.1, NSO.1.4, NSO.2.3

Students are practicing:

-Solving one and two step addition real world problems.

-Rounding whole numbers from 0 to 100 to the nearest 10.

-Add two whole numbers with sums up to 100.

-Subtracting a whole number from a whole number, each no larger than 100.

Directions:

1. For best results, I suggest you print the scoot task cards in color and laminate to use for years to come! You can also print in black and white on colored paper.

2. Tape the scoot pieces around the room.

3. Students will walk around the room with their recording sheet, solve and go. You can set a timer for 1-2 minutes and when I say “SCOOT” go to the next scoot card. You could also have students move around as needed without a timer.

4. Students will turn in Scoot Recording Sheet

I hope you and your students enjoy this resource!
