This is a research project I use with my Gifted and Talented Students as a culminating project to our Genetics unit. It would also be great to use with a study of immigration. Students have to interview family members to learn about their family's history. They then chose a country their family originated in to research. Family Tree Projects includes project guidelines, a rubric/checklist, and several student examples. It is an amazing way to learn more about your student's unique backgrounds and celebrate cultural diversity in the classroom.
