Description

This is a magical, beautifully illustrated card game that my kids requested over and over again. Included are playing cards for every letter of the alphabet, one uppercase and one lowercase, and each card features a lovely, labeled picture of something fantasy-related that starts with the appropriate letter. For example, Acrobat, acrobat, Boat, boat, Carriage, carriage, Dragon, dragon, etc. Your students can play with these in a variety of ways to practice letter identification and phonics, including a "Go Fish" type game where students try to collect matching pairs. As you play the game with students, you can discuss with them whether each picture is something that can exist in the real world, or just fictional. One page of castle cards is included in case you'd like to use them as the back side of each card, to give the whole deck a more consistent appearance.
