Daily themed Chit Chat/Morning Message slides. For use with Kindergarten and/or First Grade students.
Slides include:
-’mystery word’ for daily blending practice
-’spell a word’ for daily segmenting practice
-’Game’ "the answer is..." Getting students to come up with each part of the number sentence.
-’How Many’ counting objects organized and unorganized. Practice writing numbers.
Slides are for the month of February. 18 slides are included. Teacher answer key for mystery words and spell a word.
How to use slides:
-MW: Students will identify the first sound of each picture shown of the mystery word and then blend those sounds to read a CVC word. For example horse would be /h/, apple would be /a/ and mouse would be /m/ resulting in the cvc word “ham”.
-SAW: Student will identify the picture and segment the sounds to write the correct word.
-Game: have students write a number sentence to make the answer
-HM: Count how many and tell or practice writing the number.
Student white boards can be used to fill in answers as you work through the slides
