One day, I was stuffing homework folders and I thought to myself, "I am sending homework sheets Monday through Thursday. That means I am making 4 math, 4 writing and 4 word family practice sheets per week. 4 days x 3 sheets x 26 students = 312 pieces of paper/week!
I created homework sheets for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Monday nights now, I send home a bubble or circle map for the students to fill out based on the theme for that week. This homework is editable on PPT. My students love to have only one sheet even though they are getting practice in three areas. Best of all, it saves paper!!
