Great value
I used this resource as an interactive word problem activity for my third graders. I read off directions the day before and had students work on their Valentines Day monsters independently after the day's lesson. It was easy to prep, and my students loved working to build their monsters. The word problems were easy enough most of my students could work independently. I did small groups for my learners who needed a little more support. I also let my kindergartener try out putting together the monster using my answer key, and she loved it too. Word problems could be differentiated for younger or even older learners, you just have to change the answers on the monster body parts.
