FUN WITH FERMENTATION -Guided Notes, Slideshow, and Muscle Fatigue Lab
This little bundle is a truly engaging and interactive way to get your students learning all about the process of fermentation.
Students are provided with a colorful and well organized guided notes sheet that is paired to the teacher slideshow. All blanks are in BOLD on the slideshow for ease of note taking. This increases participation in the teacher's discussion and allows students to grasp abstract concepts.
But wait, there's more! A seriously awesome and fun lab (and student worksheet) is provided that investigates the effects of muscle fatigue on reaction time and fine motor skills. Students will build up lactic acid and get frustrated as they try to catch a ruler and stack dominos after fatiguing the muscles in their hands.
This is a 2 day lesson plan that can be condensed for time constraints.
THIS LESSON REQUIRES almost NO PREP (besides collecting the 4 lab materials.)
