Fifth Grade Math BOGO for Multiplying Fractions!
Share

Description

Multiplying Fractions Task Cards along with Multiplying Fractions Using Visual Models in a BOGO package! You can buy one and get one for half price! Normally, these two items are $4.48 separately.

Please take the time to view the preview files for the individual resources prior to purchasing by clicking on the links in the description. This way, you will see clearly what you are purchasing.
In this BOGO, you will get:

Multiplying Fractions, Multiplying Fun
Use these printable math task cards at independent centers, as an Interwrite/Smartboard assessment activity, or in small groups to focus instruction on these concepts:
* Multiplying fractions with whole numbers
* Multiplying fractions with fractions
* Multiplying mixed fractions
* Modeling fraction problems with a picture/diagram
These word problems are aligned with Common Core standards 4.NF and 5.NF. Since there are questions that go above and beyond multiplying a fraction by a whole number, these cards can be differentiated for fourth grade as some are designed to challenge your higher math students.

Multiplying Fractions: Visual Models to Understand Multiplication of Fractions
Using visual fraction models is a pervasive standard in the CCLS and this explanatory teaching tool and practice worksheet will be useful in helping your students master this concept. The first page has a step by step illustration of how to use visual models to solve a problem involving multiplication of fractions. Then there are 10 problems posed, with room to draw a visual model and solve the problem. There is an answer key provided, with a thorough illustration of each problem, not just the answer to the number sentence. Though this addresses a fifth grade CCLS, I have used this with my sixth graders and can be a review with seventh graders or struggling students. This can be used:

* in a whole group minilesson
* in a math center after instruction
* as an assessment

NOTE: These are the SAME two Math products I have for sale individually. If you have already purchased one of them, then this is not for you. This BOGO is to provide two products together at a buy one, get one half-price. AlwaysLearning.
