Resource 2: Drag, Drop, Write, and Review
This resource is a fun and engaging way for your students to review figurative language! All activities are digital via Google Slides & require no prep!

Personification
This resource consists of a Google Slides Slideshow with four parts that will help students review figurative language.
Part 1- Students drag and drop the definition to the term.
Part 2- Students identify 21 examples of figurative language by dragging and dropping the term next to the example.
Part 3- Students write their own examples for each type of figurative language.
Part 4- Students complete a 15 question Quizizz game reviewing figurative language and come back to the slide to record their score.

Resource 3: Google Form Test
This Google Form Figurative Language test will test students' ability to identify the following : simile, metaphor, personification, idiom, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, and alliteration . It consists of 25 questions. Each question gives students a sentence, and students identify the correct figurative language that is used. This Google Form test is no prep and self-grading!
Versions of this Google Form Test: There are three versions of this test included in the resource. All versions have the same test questions but offer different numbers of answer choices so that you can accommodate your students' ability levels. Form A- 25 Questions with 7 answer choices for each question, Form B- 25 questions with 4 answer choices for each question, and Form C- 25 questions with 2 answer choices.
How to use this Google Form: You can assign this Google Form test to students by sending them a link via email or through your learning management system. You can also upload it directly from your Google Drive to your learning management system.
Why use a Google Form: This Google Form requires no prep on your end. You simply decide which version suits your students' needs best and assign! The test grades itself and you have the results immediately. The data you receive from the Google Form can help you make decisions on where to go next or what to review with your students. A video is provided in the resource that overviews the data given by the Google Form.
Google Form Settings: The test questions themselves are images and cannot be altered. You have many settings that you can control such as the point value questions, total point value of the test, how and when to release scores to students, shuffle the order of questions or have all tests the same, progress bar, deleting questions to shorten the test for some students. A video is included that shows all of these settings and how to change them.
