Description

This PowerPoint was designed to be a teacher-led remote learning review of six common figurative language devices: alliteration, allusion, hyperbole, personification, metaphor, and simile.

Just download this PowerPoint to your desktop, share screen, and go! You can ask students, "Who sees a match?" Or you can cold-call on students if you prefer. The slides are programmed/animated for you! If a student gives a wrong answer, don't click anything. If a student gives a correct match, click on the example and watch the magic happen!

There are three total slides (with 24 total examples), so this would make a great whole-class warm-up or closure activity! I hope this promotes engagement and adds something different to your remote learning routine. I am planning to make/post more activities like this one, so be sure to follow my store!
