Figurative Language Task Cards
These 40 task cards can be used to reinforce figurative language. The 8 types of figurative language they cover are; hyperbole, alliteration, personification, onomatopoeia, simile, metaphor, idiom, and proverb.
A student answer sheet for students to record their answers along with an answer key is included. These cards work well for stations, centers, or partner work. Cards 17-40 would also be great to use for a whole class game of Scoot.
Simply print the cards out and cut along the dotted lines. They can be laminated for reuse or printed on card stock.
