This is a word sort for figurative language. It covers the definition of multiple types of figurative language, including simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, personification, imagery, alliteration, and assonance. It also gives examples of each kind of figurative language for the students to sort together. It is designed to fit after an introduction to figurative language. The document includes Instructions and Sorting Cards. There is not an Answer Key, as cards will be printed in the correct groups already.
