Description

This formative activity was done on Days 2 and 3 of my Cinematography unit for my high school film study course. I printed off this handout for each student, and page 1 was completed after student completed the Camera Position Guided Notes (in my storefront). Page 2 was completed and handed in after student filled out the Camera Angles Guided Notes on Day 3 of the unit (also in my storefront).

I essentially had students flip through a Google Slides I made of a bunch of Youtube videos of live-action and animation scenes, and pause the videos when they saw examples of the different camera positions and angles. They then drew these shots on their handouts as a formative assessment of their cinematography comprehension.

*I teach a year long Film Study class at a high school. I have 2 semesters worth of notes and activities and assessments (have not had time to post everything to TpT). If you are in need of something, please leave me a comment or message and I can see if I have what you are looking for!*
