Here is a set of 32 task cards that are sure to get your students thinking. This set of cards requires students to figure out the missing digits in order to solve the problems. They include 2-digit plus one-digit, 3-digit plus 1-digit, 3-digit plus 2-digit, 4-digit plus one-digit, 4-digit plus 2-digit, and 4-digit plus 3-digit addition problems. These are a great way to practice adding with and without regrouping. Some problems students need to find only one missing digit and some require finding two missing digits. There are two challenge problems requiring students to find three missing digits. The variety of cards makes it easy to differentiate for your kiddos.
Use this set of 32 cards to play a game of Scoot, individually, with a partner, in a group, math center activity, extension or any way you want. These are great to use as test prep before the 3rd or 4th grade state math assessment, or after teaching your addition unit. Also great to use with your 5th graders at the beginning of the year to review what they should have learned in 4th grade. These task cards provide great practice in problem solving in order to figure out what the missing digit/s is/are in each problem. Great way to practice addition without overwhelming your students with a whole sheet of math problems. Student recording sheet and answer key are included.
