This set is to be used after a lesson on the look for a pattern problem-solving strategy. It has been created with the intermediate elementary level in mind. Included are 8 mini-posters (half pages), each with a different problem that requires the use of the look for a pattern strategy. It is represented with number patterns and picture patterns, as well as a pattern tables. One station requires you to create a pattern with cubes for students to observe. I usually use unifix cubes and create an L-shaped pattern that increases by two blocks on each end each time. An answer recording page is included so that students can record their answers, which you can collect for assessment. I have also included a create your own sheet where students can create their own pattern problems.
This is meant to be a quick-station that students rotate through as they finish. Each station has one problem only for a total of eight problems. It's a great way to do a quick assessment of student learning related to different representations of patterns.
