Description

Regression Equations TEKS Aligned: A4A, A4C, A8B, A9E

This is a double sided notes page on how to find linear, quadratic and exponential regressions on the TI graphing calculator with step by step instructions.

The front of the notes provides 3 steps on how to find a regression (linear, quadratic or exponential) equation on the graphing calculator with step by step instructions. Next, an example follows where the students can practice using the instructions. They are given a table of values and asked to find a linear, quadratic and an exponential regression.

The back provides extra optional information. First instructions explain how to use the calculator to find the correlation coefficient for a linear regression. An example follows where the student can practice the directions using the data table from the front.

Finally, optional steps are given to enter the regression equation into the calculator while calculating it instead of having to enter it by hand. Another example follows where the student can try these steps. Key included for the examples.
