Description
Finding Slope: Error Analysis
Students will practice finding slope from tables, graphs, and two points by identifying errors in the work of other students. This no prep activity contains 14 practice problems and a full answer key. Just make your copies and it's ready to go!
For each problem, students are given the original problem and the work of the original student. They need to figure out whether an error was made, describe the error, and determine the correct answer. The problems contain a range of errors, including copy errors, counting errors, formula errors, and sign/integer operation errors. This activity could easily be used as a classwork assignment, a homework assignment, or a quiz for students during or after a lesson on slope and how to find it.
