Description

4 easy to use pages on finding slope from 2 points. This resource includes answer keys, moveable pieces, and engaging, easy to follow notes, sure to help solidify finding slope from 2 points!

Included in this set of digital pages are 4 pages on finding slope from 2 points. The first finding slope note page walks students through the steps they must take to find the slope when given two points. The second page has students practice finding the slope with a little less direction. The third slide has students try to find the slope of what turns out to be 1 horizontal line and 1 vertical line. The final page has students move pieces to blank spots on a digital finding slope activity page to find the slope between 4 additional sets of ordered pairs. Colored and black and white versions of each page is included (to allow for students who may need the differentiation).

This set is included in the Linear Equations Digital Note Bundle

  • 1 special circumstance investigation page
  • 1 fill in the blank practice page
  • Completed suggested answer keys

To use these pages:

Review information with students. These are not your regular 1,2, 3 note pages. Go through them in the order your students need! You may start filling in information at the bottom of a page rather than the top. You may start on the left side instead of the right. There is no “correct” order. These notes are meant to help anchor student learning by providing clear, concise, engaging notes. One of the pages is black and white, one copy has color. Choose which page(s) you want students to have. Make a copy of the document. Delete any unnecessary pages (like the answer key, and the direction page) before making a copy and sending to students!

Interpret the equation 𝘺 = 𝘮𝘹 + 𝘣 as defining a linear function, whose graph is a straight line; give examples of functions that are not linear. For example, the function 𝘈 = 𝑠² giving the area of a square as a function of its side length is not linear because its graph contains the points (1,1), (2,4) and (3,9), which are not on a straight line.
