Description
Do you have students who struggle with finger isolation and understanding the importance of touching a specific area on a table/device? I created this set to help students with this skill and to motivate them to isolate their finger to use a device (which will increase their independence as well as allow them the independent leisure skill of using a tablet device). This is also helpful for students who would benefit from Augmentative Communication Devices but struggle with finger isolation.
☝ This bundle is perfect for teaching/motivating students to isolate a finger and to use a device for educational purposes. ☝
⭐Drag and Drop Version:
Students isolate their finger to touch the "student" or "animal", then slide the "student" or "animal" over to the scene. They then hit "submit" OR the adult or peer working with them can hit "submit" for them.
⭐Touching a Specific Item:
How to use:
☝Students isolate their finger to touch the fruit/fish.
☝The deck gets progressively harder and requires students to pay more attention to the fruit/fish as they get smaller in size.
These skills are excellent for those students who are "learning to learn" or need help learning how to use a device to demonstrate their knowledge.
Tip: while teaching students this concept, I reinforce my students for every independent response! If they do it correctly, they either get a token on their token board or other smaller reinforcer. This helps students to associate the skill with reinforcement and increase the likely hood of the student correctly responding again.
THIS SET IS BEST USED ON A TABLET DEVICE OR SMARTPHONE.
IT CAN BE USED ON A COMPUTER TO WORK ON USING A MOUSE OR TRACKPAD.
