Hello Beginning Band Teachers!
Want a way to assess your students to see which students truly know their fingerings? This resource is quick, simple, and easy for students to understand. What's great is that the students' knowledge of both note names AND fingerings will be assessed so that you have a comprehensive evaluation of your students' understanding of their first 5 notes. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED!
Use it however you'd like! It's perfect for an in-class quiz, homework, entrance ticket, or exit ticket.
Personally, I let my students complete the page with a 5 minute timer, then exchange their paper with another person in their section who will grade their work. I'll either put the answer keys up on the View Board, or I'll scatter them across a few tables for students to look off of when they are grading their peer's work.
