This is a great way to get to know students and all their interests. Not only do they answer fun questions, they get to reflect on their goals for the year. There is a portion where they write to their future self. Be sure to keep them and hand them back at the end of the school year! They look forward to it, and I love hearing the laughs, and sometimes, groans when they get this assignment back at the end. This is just a great icebreaker and already help them to feel closer and more at home with you in your classroom.
