Description

Are you looking for first grade Christmas math activities to get you through to winter break? These first grade Christmas math digital slides are just what you need to provide a review of first grade math skills commonly taught during the first months of the school year. These skills target several first and second grade Common Core math standards, however this activity is mainly used with first grade.

Students will get into the holiday spirit as they visit a virtual Christmas village made out of gingerbread houses. As students click on each house, they will be taken to a set of questions that target a different math standard (7 slides per house). Christmas math activities were never so festive and fun!

What's Included:

*One Google Slides™ presentation (58 total slides!) - perfect for virtual/distance learning! Students will start their journey at the "Christmas Village" home screen, where the door of each house is labeled with a number and sign showing which math standard the house addresses.

As students choose a house, they will be taken to 7 slides to review a math standard. Some slides contain several questions per slide.

How the Houses are Organized:

House 1- Telling Time and Shapes

House 2- Number Stories

House 3- Counting Coins (United States)

House 4- Addition and Subtraction

House 5-Patterns and Counting

House 6- Measurement and Data

House 7- Place Value and Number Sense

*Two Bonus slides are included just for festive fun- virtual “Decorate the Christmas Tree” and “Build a Snowman!”

*Please note- these slides are NOT self-checking. Most are either fill in the blank or drag and drop.

Ideas for Using This Resource:

Upload this no prep digital Christmas math activity straight into Google Classroom™ to use as a festive Christmas math center! Students might visit ONE house per day (spanning a week).

This resource is perfect for the rest of the class to work on as the teacher works with small groups. This activity may also be used for fast finishers, morning work, or for December virtual substitute plans. Also perfect for homeschoolers and parents looking to review first and second grade math skills.
