Description

Get your first graders moving as they practice identifying fractions and partitioning shapes in this write the room center activity. There are 2 versions available so students can identify the fractional parts (halves or fourths) on circles and rectangles and in the second versions practice partitioning shapes and shading a fractional part! Hang the cards around the room like a math scavenger hunt or use them as task cards. This resource is great for a math center, math warm up, or can even be used as a whole class!

Includes:

10 half paged cards for identifying the fractional parts (__ out of ___ parts for halves and fourths

10 half page cards for partitioning shapes (8) and shading a fractional part (2) for halves and fourths.

There are recording sheets for each version as well as answer key/ suggested answer page.

My students absolutely love walk the room, it is their favorite Math center. These are very helpful on our English days in the classroom so students can build their vocabulary but still complete the work.
