Description

Engage your first-grade students with these standards-based monthly morning work resources. This ELA and MATH spiral review packet provides students with a daily practice with a predictable format. The daily practice includes pages aligned with the Common Core Standards for both ELA & Math and promotes independence with your students. First-graders will love working on these monthly themed pages throughout the month.

Resource Prep: The packet cover can be printed with colored ink on cardstock. and just a plain piece of cardstock for the back cover. If you are using the blackline master cover, just print it on colored cardstock with the plain piece of cardstock for the back cover. The inserted pages can be just copied on regular copy paper. To save paper you can copy the pages back-to-back for each day, then either staple or bind the book together with the front and back covers.

Money: Students are asked to draw the fewest number of coins that could be used to make that amount for the number of the day. For example: If the number of the day is 22, students draw out the money to represent the amount.

Tens & Ones: Students are asked to draw how many tens and ones it would be to make the number of the day. For example: if the number of the day is 22, students draw out 2 tens & 2 ones.

More Than/Less Than: Students write what is One More Than and One Less Than the number of the day in lines provided.

  • More Than/Less Than
  • One more than (+1) _________
  • One less than (-1) _________

Number Sentence: Students write an addition number sentence that equals the number of the day in lines provided.
