Description

With over 500 color by code math worksheets, you will always have what you need to provide student choice and differentiation. In this activity students will be practicing 1st grade math concepts, cutting skills, glueing, following 4 step directions, and creating a fun character to stand up on their desk for the day. These printable worksheets are a great option for fast finishers, for morning work as students arrive, or even as part of your sub plan folder. There are 5 characters to use from in this set that will work for the entire school year, start to finish!

Each character set includes 5 characters:

⟿ Penguin

⟿ Bird

⟿ Robot

⟿ Pig

⟿ Alien

Each character set includes the following math concepts:

⟿ Addition 0-20, result unknown, change unknown, and start unknown

⟿ Addition of 3 whole numbers that total 20 or less

⟿ Addition within 100 - 2 digit number plus multiple of 10

⟿ Addition within 100 - 2 digit number plus 2 digit number

⟿ Subtraction 0-20, result unknown, change unknown, and start unknown

⟿ Counting on sequences 0-20, 60-100, 100-120

⟿ 10 more than

⟿ 10 less than

⟿ 20-120 Number identification in both standard form and word form

In this bundle, we provide a set that can be used any time of year as well as options for Halloween, Winter Holidays, St. Patrick's Day, and Summer Fun for the End of the Year.

Once students have completed coloring, they cut out the picture, apply glue to the marked area, and bend the picture into a cylinder shape that can stand up on their desk. These could become part of an eye-catching bulletin board but students will be excited to bring them home to share with their family members.

The students liked it well enough, and I really appreciate how many options there are for different skills and concepts. My only issue is that it's not that visually appealing (personally lol) and the same 5 characters are repeated for each concept, so my students are bound to get bored and want something new!
