This works!!! I bought it -and my class and I love it. It helps us have a goal and be accountable. It’s realistic and practical. To explain- Each weekday mon - thurs they are timed for one minute to do twelve problems. (Five seconds to answer a problem.) Week 1 starts with ONLY + 0 and + 1 problems. On Friday- they do the same amount of problems- but it’s for 4 minutes- so it’s still five seconds per problem and if they get 44-48 correct, they move on to the next week. It is a bit of a recordkeeping and scoring daily. But it can be very quick once you get a system going. For example- right now I am on week 14 (because I didn’t start until late October) I have children on weeks four all the way to week 14. On Thursday I send home their one worksheet with the four columns (mon thru Thursday) one column of 12 problems for each day - and they can see how many they got correct each day and what to continue practicing at home for Fridays assessment- to Hopefully move them up to the next week. For all of the Monday through Friday timed assessments they start with a pencil. I turn on the timer when the timer goes off. They switch to crayon and have as much time as they need to finish. And it helps them to keep up the practice and also see what they need to practice on. I’m definitely a fan and I’m glad I bought this product.. if they are waiting for others, they are allowed to color/draw anything on the back of the worksheet- so that is fun for them too. Thank you for creating it!
