My own education history
As the founder of Sweet for Kindergarten, Kristina leads a platform dedicated to empowering K-1 educators with research-based literacy ideas, curriculum, and training resources. Kristina taught Kindergarten for 6 years before staying home with her 3 little ones. She is passionate about phonics, writing, and fine motor skills and shares simple ideas to make learning fun and engaging.

I'm Kristina, founder of Sweet for Kindergarten™ and passionate about all things phonics and phonemic awareness.
My first year teaching Kindergarten, I was overwhelmed with my phonics instruction. I had no training, no guide, and no clue where to even start. After years of research, trying things out in my own classroom, and finally finding success with my own students, I knew I wanted to help more teachers who had been in my position. That's exactly why I started Sweet for Kindergarten™.
