First Grade Narrative Writing Student Writing Sample

Description

Show your class a student writing sample (written by the student) and use it to model each craft/examples with your mini-lessons. Let them see what another student wrote and motivate them to write like him or write better! This student writing sample reflected the skills and elements expected from the Common Core State Standards and TEKS for narrative writing. The story included narrative writing or small moment element of character, setting, problem and solution. The story also included writing crafts such as, dialogue, weather, action, suspense, feeling, and beautiful language. Use this student writing sample to start narrative writing workshop with an end in mind. It is especially helpful for ELLs, students with special needs and lower level writers.

1 Cover Page
5 Page Story (Draft in black ink, Revision in green ink, and Edit in blue ink)

Tip: Print with color and one sided.
