This resource has lots of great content. My only drawback was that there was so many little files within other files, it did take me a long time to print everything. I wish all of the pdfs had been merged so there were just 5 big files (for each content area). That being said, I do think it was worth purchase.

I'm a homeschool mom as well as a teacher (that no longer teaches), I've been looking for a science curriculum to do with my 1st grader and have bought several curriculum and interactive journals on this site but nothing fit quite well. This resource is thorough and complete from lesson plans to worksheets, and PowerPoints. My daughter has learned well and has been remembering the topics discussed. she finds it easy and engaging without feeling pressured to do well. The guided worksheets go well with the PowerPoints and they cover the material in an age appropriate and easy to follow along presentation. I could not be more happy with this resource and I only wish they had more resources like these for other subjects and ages! I definitely recommend this resource, it's worth every penny.

Examples of patterns could include that the sun and moon appear to rise in one part of the sky, move across the sky, and set; and stars other than our sun are visible at night but not during the day. Assessment of star patterns is limited to stars being seen at night and not during the day.

Use materials to design a solution to a human problem by mimicking how plants and/or animals use their external parts to help them survive, grow, and meet their needs. Examples of human problems that can be solved by mimicking plant or animal solutions could include designing clothing or equipment to protect bicyclists by mimicking turtle shells, acorn shells, and animal scales; stabilizing structures by mimicking animal tails and roots on plants; keeping out intruders by mimicking thorns on branches and animal quills; and, detecting intruders by mimicking eyes and ears.
