WHAT'S INCLUDED? (PRINT AND DIGITAL)

Game 1: Which One is Which?

Students decide which card is addition and which is subtraction and drag them where they belong. Then, solve.

Game 2: Solve the Problem

Students decide if it’s addition or subtraction and move the finger to the correct answer. Then, they type an equation and solve.

Game 3: Circle the Keywords

Students figure out if each problem is addition or subtraction by circling the keywords. Then, they fill in the pink box.

Game 4: Act It Out

Students use the items on the side to act out the problem.

Then, they fill in the blue box if it’s addition or subtraction and type in the answer.

HOW TO IMPLEMENT:

There are 11 problems included in each of the 4 games (total of 44 questions).

Digitally: The first problem is always an example for students so they know what to do. I would recommend completing 5 questions during your lesson together and assigning the other 5 for students to complete independently.

Print: Print the task cards out and put them in a math center. Have students record answers on the recording sheet provided. Students can use the self-checking answer key to check their work. You can choose between the color and black and white option.
