My students really liked this piece - It was a bit of a challenge for my grade 4/5's and I think my 6/7s would have been a better fit overall, but the 4/5s still really enjoyed it! Thanks!

This piece for Orff is challenging. I taught it to my 4th and 5th grade students last December, but they struggled. I am planning to bring it back this year with my 5th grade (last year's 4th grade). I already know they are going to so much better with this year. Overall, this piece is well written and is great for 5th grade with some Orff experience.

Thanks for your comments! Yes, it is a challenging and beautiful work. I conducted First Snowfall with an all county honors Orff ensemble right before the pandemic and the students really grew musically through the process. Given that your fifth grade students have gotten their feet wet with it as fourth graders, I'll bet they will shine! Reach out anytime with questions, and thanks again for your feedback! Jeff.....
