About the store
Experience
I’ve been teaching since 2010. Over the years, I’ve taught first and fourth grade, but most of my time has been spent in 3rd grade—which has truly become my favorite place to be!
Teaching style
I’m a hands-on, interactive teacher who believes students learn best when they’re actively involved. I love incorporating technology and giving students opportunities to collaborate, explore, and problem-solve together. Whether it’s through STEM projects, digital learning tools, or creative group activities, I strive to create a classroom environment where learning is engaging, meaningful, and fun.
My own education history
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, both from Ball State University. I’m licensed to teach K-6 general education, K-9 math, and high ability students K-12.
Additional biographical information
I’ve been with my husband since my sophomore year of high school, and together we’ve built a beautiful life. We have five adopted children who are truly the biggest blessing in my life—I couldn’t imagine my world without them!
When I’m not teaching, I love coaching. Coaching middle and high school students gives me the chance to work with older kids in a different setting, and it’s always refreshing to meet new faces. I coach basketball, flag football, softball, diving, and track. It keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’m also passionate about graphic design and enjoy creating websites, designing classroom resources, and making products to sell. Whether I’m in the classroom, on the field, or behind my computer screen, I love finding creative ways to help others.
