Give your students an opportunity to practice rounding with this engaging, hands-on activity perfect for centers, independent work, and small groups. Students will generate numbers with a rounding board and number cards, then use the numbers they generate to practice rounding to the nearest ten and nearest hundred on a recording sheet.

Flippin' for Rounding Directions:
1) Each student will need one rounding board, either one or two sets of 0-9 cards, and a recording sheet. Student will shuffle his or her cards then put all cards face down.
2) Student will flip over enough cards to fill their rounding board (two, three, or four numbers). After creating a number on their rounding board, they will at the number to their recording sheet and round it to the nearest ten and/or nearest hundred.
3) Student will repeat with remaining cards, then re-shuffle to play again when he or she runs out of cards.
