For each of the benchmarks you will find…
- Teacher Page - includes the purpose, examples, clarifications, vertical alignment, connections, instructional strategies, common misconceptions, vocabulary, and prior knowledge.
- Resource Page - most Benchmarks include a Resource Page for teachers to use.
- Review Problems - for the students to review the skills they should be bringing with them to Grade 5.
- “Show What You Know” Page - can be used with the lesson as example problems to work through together or independently with a partner. This can also be used as an exit slip.
- Practice Problems – Two (2) pages that you can use for homework or classwork practice.
- Answer Key - provided for each set of problems.

This resource is very well laid out and easy to follow. The questions are rigorous and really challenge students to think critically while still being accessible. I have seen positive results from using this material in my classroom, and it has helped reinforce important skills and concepts. The teacher explanations and standards alignment are a great addition and make implementation much easier. Highly recommend this resource!
