Our Original Fluency Builders are so popular on our website, www.readingresource.net that we created an easier set of Fluency Builders focused on the short vowels and the basic reading code; perfect for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students just learning to read.

Created just like our Original Fluency Builders, the basic code sentences 'build' upon themselves as one additional word is added to each line. This format naturally enhances fluency and the passages are organized by vowel sound so they provide great decoding practice too.

We've covered all five short vowel sounds (30 passages) in this set and made sure most words are easily decoded. Put the science of the repeated reading method to work in a fun way for your readers with our Basic Code Fluency Builders. I use them with my students almost everyday.
