What is Fluency Fast Track?

How It Works (Daily Routine):
- Model Fluent Reading (1 Minute):
The teacher reads the extract aloud while students follow along with their own copies. The goal? To model expression, intonation, and accurate pronunciation. - Peer Reading & Feedback (1 Minute):
Students pair up—Child ‘A’ reads aloud, while Child ‘B’ listens and provides constructive feedback based on your demonstration. - Switch Roles (2-3 Minutes):
Roles reverse, giving both children a chance to practise reading aloud and to listen actively. - Summarise & Reflect (Optional):
If time allows, students write a 2-3 line summary of the text and share it with their partner. - Supportive Feedback:
Partners circle or underline words that were challenging for their partner and revisit these during feedback. Focus on self-correction and supportive learning!
