These pages print four to a page and are ideal for having students revisit, annotate, and reflect on their notes. They work well as warm-ups, exit tickets, or small-group processing activities.

Questioning Strategies

Two handouts focused on developing deeper student questioning:

  • Connecting Ideas: Students use Costa’s Levels of Questioning to write a Level 2 question that connects the current set of notes to a previous set of notes.
  • Leveling Up Our Questions: Students use the three levels of Costa’s Levels of Thinking to revise a Level 1 question into Levels 2 and 3, then answer their questions on the back.
