Description
This activity was designed for 9th-12th grade students in a food science class but could easily fit into any unit studying food safety or processing. Students evaluate common food labels (use real packages or pictures from the internet) to identify an additive in each food. Then they research the purpose of that additive. Students are also asked to synthesize the information with "questions to consider" at the end of the activity.
This material provides both a word doc and PDF version of the activity sheet. Download today and upload to your LMS and your lesson plan is finished!
