Description

This is a fun craft to make to allow kids to show off their understanding of the flow of energy through food chains.

This activity starts with the sun link, and flows through a producer, three different consumers, and a decomposer. On the consumer links, there is a place to put the type of consumer(primary, secondary, tertiary or herbivore, carnivore, omnivore.)

Students will show off their understanding of the flow of energy in a food chain, and their art skills, by drawing an appropriate part of the food chain on each link. They will then cut out the links and glue them looping into each other to make a chain.

Thank you for downloading my free resource! I hope you have an engaging class with this project!

I liked the theory of this product. However, the picture shows that there are drawings or clipart on the chain links. There are only words on the links. I was expecting this to be a quick, no prep chain link for my students. As such I did not use it with them. We just made our own. I think if you added the clipart as you have shown in the pictures, it would be a more useful resource.
