This is a unit I came up with for the end of the year in grade 9. This unit has the students explore issues revolving food. There are links to online quizzes and Tedtalks. The students are ultimately instructed to hand in an essay (a formal thesis statement (intro)-2-3 supporting statements (body) and concluision) focusing on one of the videos they watched. This unit is also an opportunity for the students to practice taking notes.
