Description

This forensic science project over serial killers has students research their chosen serial killer to explain how the killer's fantasy, environmental, and biological factors played a role in the killer's actions. It works well after a lesson on criminal profiling.

They will utilize a 100-point rubric to research information like (but not limited to):

*The criminal's home life

*Traumatic events in the criminal's past

*Details of the crime or crimes committed, and how the criminal hid their atrocities.

*Details about the MO of the offender and organization/disorganization of their habits

The students dive right into this project with enthusiasm every single year. It is one of my favorites to grade!

This product includes:

*Presentation rubric (out of 100 points for easy math!)

*List of 20 possible serial killers (you can always add more! The kids seem to have a knack for adding names each year)

*Teachers guide (I allow a day for research, a day for creation, and a day for presentations)

It is in a PowerPoint and PDF format so that it can be easily uploaded to Google Classroom (or whatever you use) for digital access!
