Foreshadowing Using Animated Shorts

Teach your students to identify foreshadowing through using animated shorts! Using videos to teach foreshadowing is great for introducing the concept or reviewing with students. This lesson includes Google Slides to teach students about common types of foreshadowing and graphic organizers to assess students’ understanding. 

This lesson is designed for use with the animated shorts Alma and Serial Taxi. (Both are easily available online.) However, you can easily use this lesson with other animated shorts! 

This lesson is on Google Slides and Google Docs and can be used for digital learning or printed.

  • Foreshadowing Introduction Slides
  • Foreshadowing graphic organizer for Alma
  • Foreshadowing graphic organizer for Serial Taxi
  • Answer keys
  • foreshadowing poster for your classroom (to be printed from the last slide of the presentation)

I like this idea of this lesson and I know my students would love the film analysis. However, the slide show didn't provide any detail, explanation, or examples of the concepts students are supposed to analyze in the film clips.
