Description

Engage your students in a fun, interactive way with Four Corners Math Questions! This resource is designed to get students up and moving while practicing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Playing Four Corners with these open-ended math discussion questions will promote student engagement and elicit participation of all students.

Just like the game Four Corners, questions are placed in each corner of the room then students move to a corner of a question they want to answer (students do not get out, students will collaborate and contribute to high level discussions in each corner). These discussions encourage students to explain their reasoning and justify their thinking.

Use these questions to learn more about your students feeling about math, how they solve problems, strategies used, math scenarios, and reflecting about math. This teaching strategy will excite and motivate your students to respond to reading in a fun way!

Included in this resource:

· 85 fiction reading discussion questions

· multiple choice letters to review test questions

· written response template

· master list of 85 questions for easy access

· possible responses for math scenarios

· how to use directions

I like that these are structured, as my students need constant reminders of what they're supposed to do and how it's supposed to happen. This worked quite well with facilitating math discussions.
