Description

Use this "no bake" baking activity in class as a fun way to practice converting and adding fractions using real world concepts. Students a given a recipe to make Peanut Butter Power Balls, but they are only given a measuring cup for 1/4 cups. They must figure out how many 1/4 scoops it will take to have the correct amount of ingredients.

Ingredients needed include: peanut butter, honey, oats, chocolate chips and flax seeds.

Materials needed: 1/4 measuring cups, large bowl (optional: aluminum foil, mixing spoons)

They wore chef's hats and gloves as they worked in groups of 3. They enjoyed making the cookies. So may have never baked before. They had a good time!
