Fraction bars are absolutely 100% the best manipulatives to use when introducing and comparing fractions. Students understand that as the denominator increases the size of the piece decreases- but the really understand it when they can see it. I put these in student binders.
I love this product. It was a life saver for when I was out and use in small groups.
Has been very helpful in introducing fractions to my homeschool student. I made a set for the parent at home to work with as well.
