Description

This product download includes a set of guided notes that introduce dividing both whole numbers and fractions by fractions and setting up and using visual models to help with conceptual understanding.

The guided notes are in Google Slides format and can be edited, if needed. Aligned with the original (unedited) guided notes come three printable PDF options for printing notes for students: already completed notes, a completely blank but formatted notes page, and a scaffolded version that is designed more as a 'fill in the blank' option. Please note: the size of the printable PDFs are designed for composition notebooks and should be printed at 8.5 x 11 inch size and cut in half (see product previews).

The guided notes could be used in a flipped classroom model, in the classroom setting, as a review, or even posted online to frontload a topic. Students could take notes independently using the guided notes presentation with the blank or scaffolded student notes page printed for them, and providing absent students with notes is made easy as taking notes from the guided lesson could be done independently if shared via Google Classroom or other online learning management systems. Alternatively, students could also be provided with the set of notes that is already completed, if this works best.
